Its investment-cast body ensures strength and durability, while the thumbscrew and dual axle holes offer a wide range of fore/aft adjustment. It is designed exclusively for the Surly Molenda tire, and allowed for a custom, oversized 6.2" width that maintains its structure, even when operating at low pressures. With the TPU tube installed, you can air down your Molenda tire to maximize contact patch for better flotation, traction, and overall performance.

You are not required to haul humanoids with your Surly Longtail Cargo Bike, but if you choose to do so, you may invite them to rest their hooves on the Surly Round Pegs.
